PASSING  OF PDG BILL LITTLE - RI DISTRICT 9690

Dear Friends,

It is with utter shock and deep sadness that I must inform you all that our friend and colleague Past District Governor Bill Little passed away this morning.

Bill suffered a massive heart attack and was unable to be revived.

As more news comes to hand I will advise you, please keep Irene and their family in your thoughts.

As many of you will know Bill was not only a friend but a person of greatness, respected and admired for his dedication, passion and enthusiasm, particularly with the Village Aide program in the Philippine

Best regards

Keith Roffey

CLUB HISTORY

The first 25 years of the Rotary Club of Strathfield (1971-1996) was compiled into a history by PP Maurie Moroney and produced as a written document. Some of us still have copies. Lesley Smallwood who did the design and layout of the original document has provided me with a series of PDF files that can be collated and used as an electronic record. Read about our Charter year and see a list of our Charter members

Last week you read about Gordon Gillett in 1981-82 Look for photos of the young Eric Khu, Peter Douglas and Harley Tarrant. You will have no problems recognising PP Bob Templeman (he attended our changeover last week); he's Rotary's Peter Pan.

This week you can read about David Croft in 1982-83 This was the year of our first District Governor PP Bob Taylor. There is a photo of Margaret and David, another Peter Pan set; the photo could have been taken last week. As you know David also went on to be District Governor in 2000-01.

Please help if you can provide captions for the photographs. Does anyone have the original photographs?

Here is a list of our Past Presidents
