A
sincere welcome to our club to Andrew Kowalski and his partner
Maria. It was a pleasure to induct Andrew as a member last week, I
wish him an enjoyable and rewarding association with Rotary.
Thanks to Keith Stockall for proposing him. Andrew will be working
with Allan Teale on the Family Entertainment Fundraiser project.
Well, he is definitely back! Thanks to the passionate efforts of
RYLA District Chair Euan Watson, three young people will now
benefit from the upcoming RYLA camp. Daniel Galletta, Rani Ellison
and Melissa Gentle will all be headed for Blue Gum Lodge in the
Lower Blue Mountains for the 6 to 13 January 2007 camp. Thanks,
Euan.
A reminder to members who have not yet registered for the
conference (and that is most members!), the early bird deadline is
fast approaching. Registrations received up to and including 30
November will be entitled to a reduced registration fee (as will
any registrations for new members joining after this date).
Ted Ingall is, unfortunately, once again not well. He is back in
hospital although Mary Ingall expects the stay to be relatively
short. We look forward to Ted's return and his enthusiastic
efforts in support of the conference.
Peter Harries and David Giri would welcome suggestions for guest
speakers in 2007. The calendar is filling, but there is still
plenty of room for quality speakers – especially those who would
be appropriate for partners nights.
This week we welcome Mr Greg Hemer Business Director ANZ,
Fresh-Food Corporation as our guest speaker.
Mrs Barbara Stone AM, principal of MLC School, will be our guest
speaker next week. The meeting will be an optional partners night,
normal start time - 6:15 for 6:30 pm.
Enjoy Rotary …
by getting
involved!
