President's Pieces

26 January 2005

Greetings Fellows,

Last week I mentioned that the Club would become involved with fundraising for the tsunami victims via another Club from that area.

We have started gathering information and contacting people who can put us in touch with suitable clubs.

I will report on our progress in the coming weeks.

Last week at our meeting we met four outstanding young people who had recently returned from a RYLA conference.

These four young people showed outstanding qualities which goes to reinforce that our sponsorship of youth programs such as these should continue.

Thank you to Kevin Beltrame who once again excelled with his support and leadership.

Our Centenary of Rotary celebration plans are coming along well. Ray McCluskie has prepared a draft program for the evening. Ray and his team are doing a great job and we are looking forward to having a great evening of celebrations.

Please keep in mind and your diaries the golf day in support of the Trish Foundation on the 17th February. For more information please contact Niall King.

A reminder that there is no ordinary meeting this week, I do hope that everyone enjoys their Australia Day celebrations wherever they may be.

See you all next week, that’s all for now,

“LET’S CELEBRATE ROTARY”

More next week,

President Keith
