Greetings Fellows,
Congratulations to Connie Galletta, Brian Johnson & Graham True for their expertly organised Police Officer of the Year Awards last Wednesday evening. The concept of recognising a job well done seems to be very well received and appreciated not only by the recipients but also by family, friends & work colleagues.
Having being seated next to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dave Madden gave me an opportunity to discuss at length how the hierarchy of the Police force feel about this sort of award night, and there is no doubt that that they are grateful for what clubs like ours do to show their appreciation to those who serve us above and beyond the call of duty.
I would like to discuss with the Board and members extending these awards to cover over services such as Ambulance & Fire Brigade.
This week we will hear job talks by Paul Giammarco & Tony Lanzafame to give fellow members an insight into their respective work duties.
Please fellows don’t forget last weeks prompt in regard to apologizing when unable to attend weekly meetings.
We are still no further advanced in finding somewhere to store our equipment, please if anyone has any ideas could they let me know.
We still have a position vacant for Programs Chairman despite several members having been approached. Come & talk to me if you are willing to fill this position. We do already have a substantial list of Guest Speakers but are in need of someone to coordinate them.
Guest Speakers are a very important part of our meetings so please give this some consideration.
I have some written material passed on by the DG and will have this for distribution this Wednesday.
