President's Pieces

3 March 2004

Hello fellows and guests,

Three weeks ago I mentioned that Rotary International is urging clubs to become involved in a community project to celebrate Rotary International’s centenary and create awareness in the community. I also mentioned suggestions for a possible project should be forwarded to President elect Keith Byrn before 3 March and I remind members that all suggestions should now be with Keith.

Incoming District Governor Lloyd Roever has advised that a GSE Team will be selected and sent to the United States of America in September 2004. Tentative arrangements for selection of a Team Leader and team are as follows:

  • Team Leaders Interviews: 27 May 2004 RDU Office Parramatta

  • Team Member Interviews: 6 June 2004 Venue to be advised

Further information and application forms will be available at the District Conference.

Rotarians can now contribute to the Rotary Foundation by using a Rotary Gold MasterCard. The credit card is being issued by St George Bank Limited. The concept is, each time the cardholder uses the card, St George Bank donates funds to The Rotary Foundation. An Application form can be obtained from www.rotarnet.com.au or by contacting Rotary International South Pacific office on 9635 3537.

Have a good week.

Keith
