President's Pieces

2 June 2004

Hello fellows,

This evening we welcome Wendy McLachlan, Community Development Officer with the Brain Injury Association of NSW.

This week I have to apologise for not being in attendance due to business commitments in Melbourne. President Elect Keith Byrne has agreed to act on my behalf tonight for which I thank him.

There are currently 3 commitment sheets circulating;

  • Bike the Park “thank you” dinner on 16 June;

  • Club Changeover on 23 June; and

  •  District Changeover on 26 June (note closes 9 June);

please ensure you have seen them. Could I ask also that you pass them on to any member who hasn’t yet indicated either attendance or an apology.

Rotarians Against Malaria, the fight against Malaria will become more evident soon. I understand we will shortly receive information about the “Bed Net Program” and “Adopt a Village” program. A net is the cheapest and best way to help prevent Malaria.

Don’t forget anyone who is interested in nominating for District Governor for Rotary year 2006 – 2007, nominations are now open and close 2 July 2004. I have details of requirements for those interested. An information night will be held at RDU House, 6.30p.m. 10 June 2004.

Have a successful week.

 President Keith
