Dear fellow Rotarians

 

'Homo proponit, sed Deus disponit'

(Trans: Man proposes, but God disposes)

The Changeover could not happen as planned on 26th of June.

With the changed NSW COVID19 restrictions and keeping your health and safety in mind, regretfully the decision was taken and communicated to all via email to postpone the club changeover. A new date will be decided as soon as the opportunity arises. The way forward for now, is to keep communication going strong using all possible means available to us.  

We will have the transfer of responsibility to President-elect Thaya Ponniah and his Board on coming Wednesday 30th evening 7.00pm at a virtual changeover meeting. (The formal pinning honours will happen at a later date).  As President-elect Thaya and the new Board assume responsibility of the club, you will hear more from them on the format of future meetings.

Before I close and pending the formal occasion, I would like to thank you all for working together with me in the year 2020-21 to make it a successful year. My sincere thanks to the Board members and the Committee chairs for managing all events and meetings brilliantly under much uncertainty and unpredictability. It was early COVID times when I started, and we came out of the woods with your support, your participation and your generous contributions of knowledge, time, effort and resources.

This is my last story in the Bulletin as President, although not the last story. I will be catching up with you and the bulleting when I can.  

We wish the incoming President Thaya Ponniah and his Board all the best in the coming year and look forward to working with them in every possible way.
