President Electric's Lines

I would like to thank the fellow Rotarians for giving of their time barbecuing at the Strathfield Council National tree planting day last Sunday – Peter Smith, Kevin Freund, Brian Johnson, Steve Taylor, Angelo Franco, David Croft, Les Hockley, Raymond McCluskie, Trevor Duxbury, Shirley Del Prado, Suzanne Freund and Peter Foss. We had great weather, great fellowship; ‘it’s great to be a Rotarian’ (PP JS). For our efforts $500 into the coffers.

Saturday night saw the Wallabies trounce the All Blacks as predicted by last weeks guest speaker George Ayoub – what a great game, what a good guest speaker.

July is new Rotary officers’ month. Everybody has a job in Rotary, let us all work together with our directors and we will have a happy Rotary year.

Kevin Beltramie has volunteered to represent us at a service to commemorate Victory in the Pacific at the Kokoda track memorial walkway Concord West in August – thanks Kevin.

This week we have Brian Odgers from the Exodus Foundation talking to us. As a Rotary club we have an affiliation with Exodus having often been able to donate any left overs from fund raising days to the foundation, as we did last Sunday. We welcome Brian.
