Grahame True with Penny

President 2007-8

Rotary Club of Strathfield

 President Electric's Lines

Wednesday 15 October 2008

What a wonderful organisation Care Flight is as presented to us so informatively last Wednesday. John Ebbott in his presentation omitted to let us know that he had paraphernalia for sale. There were various bears, a book etc which will be available to us at a very good price if you wish to place an order – please see me. I purchased the book entitled “Helicopter Rescue” which my son Josh is reading at the moment. The thrill of aeromedical and intensive care retrieval has kept his interest making it hard to put down; Books - $20, Crew Bear - $45. Little Care Flight Bear - $20.

Once again it was disappointing when we have such a good guest speaker as we had last week not to have better numbers, lets try to lift our game.

Following last weeks successful ‘Tim Tam feast’ for Breast Cancer awareness (all were consumed) – perhaps you could all put an extra $1 into the sergeants fines!

The District t golf day on the 23rd October is fast approaching with a strong team from Strathfield organised by Ray and Nial, I am sure it will be a successful day.

Don’t forget our Pride of Workmanship evening on the 29th October which is designed to encourage and recognise vocational excellence. Pride of Workmanship as a Rotary sponsored project has been widely acclaimed and adopted throughout Australia emphasising the commitment of employees to a job well done – do it once do it well build a better Australia.

Remember:  Fun and fellowship in Rotary
