Happy New Year to fellow Rotarians and their families. Hope you all enjoyed the festive season and are revitalised and ready for the year ahead.
Our social evening at ‘Zeds” Italian restaurant was a great success. All who attended enjoyed the excellent food and company. Thanks go to Suzanne Freund for organising the night.
Again the bowls night, held at the South Strathfield Bowling Club, was a good fun and fellowship night. I noticed that some Rotarians were unfamiliar with the “bias” in bowls, as many a bowl was travelling across other players green space, instead of to the “jack”. Nevertheless we had an enjoyable night.
Last weeks Club Assembly meeting I felt went very well. I was pleased with the comments and suggestions from the floor, and the board will follow them up at our next board meeting and report outcomes back to members.
Thank you to the board members for the preparation and presentation of their brief, concise reports on the night. It is good, not only to be informed of what is to happen in the remainder of the Rotary year, but also to remember our achievements as a Club to date.
