Thanks again to PP Raymond McCluskie for organising yet another excellent guest speaker for last weeks meeting. Ross Colquhouns presentation on the latest method of treating drug addiction was most informative. The Board will be considering Ross’s organisation for a donation.
Thanks also to Janelle Watson for organising the tree-planting morning last Saturday week in Rotary Grove. It was however unfortunate that the attendance was far less than was expected. Thanks again Janelle..
As PP Peter Manenti mentioned last week, we need tables of Rotarians and friends
organised for our Gala Night on 9th May 2008. This night is not only to be a night of fun and entertainment, but also a fund-raiser for the Royal Far West Childrens Health Scheme.
Jann Kingston, Chief Executive Officer of the Health Scheme, was guest speaker at our club early on in the Rotary year. It was quite clear from her presentation that that organisation would indeed be a worthy recipient of funds raised by our club. Lets get behind this one fellows and do our bit to improve the health and wellbeing of children involved in the Health Scheme.
Looking forward to tonight’s presentation by our guest speaker Professor Lesley Hughes, whose topic is Climate Change.
