At our last meeting we were entertained by Sunil Badami, successful quiz show contestant. Sunil explained generally and specifically how he prepared for and competed against other contestants in order to progress to the final and winning night of ‘Sale of the Century.’ He also explained how that winning experience has changed his life. I am sure there must be a book in there somewhere!!
Our Gala Fundraiser was a successful one in that we raised approx. $ 14,000.00 for the Royal Far West Childrens Health Scheme.
Good to see tables from the soon-to-be Rotary Club of Breakfast Point, and from South Sydney Rotary Club, whose support we greatly appreciate. We were well entertained by Chris Castle, thanks to Ray Wilson; and the food and wine were most enjoyable.
For those statisticians amongst us, 170 Rotarians, partners and friends enjoyed the night. 30 Strathfield Rotarians and Honorary Rotarians were in attendance with their partners. Many thanks to a few fellow Rotarians who brought many friends and relatives along on the night.
Thank you to PP Peter Manenti and his Committee for organising and running the night, and to Honorary Rotarian John Leftwich for assisting us with the use of his auctioneering skills. To them a job well done and greatly appreciated.
A reminder of the Charter Night for Breakfast Point Rotary Club, 28th May at Strathfield Golf Club. Partners Night.
Also Club Changeover on 27th June is a transfer meeting from 25th June.
