Last weeks AGM ran like clockwork, thanks to PP Steve Taylor as Chairman and PP Ray McCluskie as Sergeant at Arms. Congratulations to the members of the elected Board and to Kevin Freund , President Elect for 2008-09 Rotary year.
Thank you to Community Service Directors Janelle and Niall, and Public Relations committee member Trevor Duxbury, for accompanying me to the Presidents Meeting last Friday night at Penrith Panthers. It was an enjoyable and most informative meeting.
Well done Janelle Watson and her committee for organising our involvement in the Carols night last Saturday night. Thanks go to all of those Rotarians who helped out on the night.
Next weeks meeting will be the Children's Xmas party, then we will have a break until our social evening on 9/1/08 at a Restaurant to be advised. Also don’t forget our annual bowls night at South Strathfield Bowling Club, Augusta St. Strathfield, on 16/1/08 (another social event on our calendar).

We know that our theme for the year is “Rotary Shares”, and we do. However the one that always comes to mind, and we all understand is one of the main reasons we have become Rotarians, is “Service Above Self”.
