Last weeks New Generations
youth evening was a well organised Certainly David Cumming, our
guest speaker last week, put a comical slant on the topic of “life &
work balance”. Once again a good choice of guest speaker, as he
managed to generate plenty of laughter from members on the night.
We have a transfer meeting coming up on the 5th of November, as we
are again invited by Burwood Rotary Club to a Melbourne Cup
evening/meeting.
Six or more Rotarians and their
partners attended last years Melbourne Cup night at Burwood. It was
a great night of fellowship and fund-raising, and Janet and I will
be there this year for a repeat performance. Hope you can come along
with your partners and enjoy the night.
Our Pride of Workmanship night, one of our major nights of the year,
is right on our doorstep. It is always great to see those with
strong work ethics being recognised for their hard work and
dedication. Look forward to another “feel good” night.
LAURAS’ CULTURAL EXPERIENCE
During the school holidays Laura has been spending time, and
shopping with, school friends and other exchange students. It’s a
critical time right now as family Christmas presents need to be
bought and posted NOW to reach home before Christmas day.
I am sure Grahame and Penny will ensure those presents are sent on
time.
Remember “Service Above Self”.
