I was encouraged by the participation of members in our Club Assembly last week and look forward to ongoing active involvement throughout the year on how the club is performing.

The Club can only be strengthened by members raising issues and voicing their opinions in a positive manner. I was delighted to hear the range of topics discussed and assure members that the Board will be giving full consideration to all the matters that were raised.

I would like to thank all of the Board for their presentations in giving an overview of their programs for the coming year, and encourage members to provide their support where possible.

Allan Teale has taken on the role of Raffles Chairman this year with gusto, and is looking for a broad range of prizes. If you are able to help or provide a contact, please advise Allan.

Just a reminder that our first Partners Night, The Police Officer of the Year Awards, is on August 5th, with Commissioner Andrew Scipione, being in attendance to acknowledge the dedication, commitment and service by Officers serving in the Burwood and Flemington Local Area Commands.
