Wednesday 21 April 2010

We have pleasure in welcoming to our meeting tonight awardees and guests here to recognise the achievements of the youth in our community and we trust you have an enjoyable evening.

The Rotary Club of Strathfield is proud of the association with Strathfield Council and congratulates the members of the council, in particular Nicole Andary, for all of the organisational work and their co-ordination with Youth Director Kevin Beltrame, involved in the presentation of The 2010 Youth Achievement Awards.

The youth in our community keep us in step with the changing character of our society and the community in which we live and our club will continue to help youth fulfill its potential, by supporting programs where young people are recognised for the development of their talents and service to the community.

We all know that being involved with young people in our community is an investment in the future, but there is the added benefit from the pleasure we derive in interacting with them. The Youth Achievement Awards provide recognition of the youth in our community building a bright tomorrow, worthy of the hopes and dreams of us all.

Our guest speaker last week, Richard Batterley, certainly demonstrated his passion and dedication to photography with a riveting presentation that I am positive inspired everyone in attendance to embrace and gain the full potential from their cameras in the future.

Remember to check your diaries and commitments for our busy schedule during the coming weeks, starting with the Anzac Day Breakfast, at Cape Cabarita, on Sunday, starting at 8.00am.

Cheers,

President Kevin
