Last Wednesday saw a different meeting in many ways. Change of venue due to the Golf Club being unavailable. Change of menu due to the Bowling Clubs new kitchen not being finished, and speakers with a difference also. However I believe that it all worked out quite well. The ‘Spit King’ supplied a very good meal. The venue was adequate or perhaps better than adequate. The speakers, dynamic duo Abbot and Byrne gave a talk that will long be remembered. Full of interest with a dash of passion thrown in. The subject – smash repairs – I noted was headlines in the next nights TV news could not be much more topical than that. Well done Keith and Warren.
I attend the unveiling of the new Strathfield Council logo last week. The ‘Ribbon’ certainly comes across as being a new vibrant image and corporate upgrade.
It is pleasing to see John Watkins and Alan Teal back with us after some time away – welcome back!
A Board meeting will be held at the conclusion of tonight’s meeting. Brickbats, bouquets, ideas, suggestions - all welcome.
