President's Notes
14 August 2019
Dear fellows,
Assistant Governor Angela Bradley
Last week our Assistant Governor Angela Bradley visited our club. Angela is a
great role model for all Rotarians particularly our younger members. Her
extensive Rotary achievements have been articulately described in her Linked In
profile. This is a wonderful example of how members can integrate the leadership
and project management skills they have developed and acquired into their
professional lives. Angela has kindly agreed to present to our younger community
members on what they can achieve through their association with Rotary.
LinkedIn
LinkedIn allows members (both workers and employers) to create profiles and
connections to each other in an online social network which may represent real
world professional relationships. Members can invite anyone (whether an existing
member or not) to become a connection.
Linked In is arguably the most important tool for our younger generations as
they develop their careers. Rotary represents an excellent opportunity for young
people to differentiate themselves through their connection to our global
community and as a result of the leadership skills they have acquired through
their service projects. I suggest you take a few minutes to view and connect
with Angela through her Linked In profile (google Angela Bradley Westpac). You
do not need to be a member to view profiles.
Bowling
Night
SAVE THE DATE- we have a great social event
planned for Friday 30 August a bowling fellowship night. This event was
previously well attended and a lot of fun. I hope to see you there.
Yours in Rotary
Arie Pappas
